At first glance, a lot of people would stereotype me as your typical “white girl.” I like pumpkin spice lattes, I watch chick flicks, and I am in a sorority. However, what appears just on the outside could not be any more different from the person I actually am. I’m a big tom boy who loves sports and fishing and I am always in trouble for doing things that are “unlady like.” Others may think I come from a family with parents who spoil me, but in reality I come from a typical middle class family with parents who have worked hard to get my family where they are. My dad didn’t attend college and my mom worked two jobs while being a student to afford it. My brother and I admire their work ethic and are working to do the same for our families, as we are both aspiring doctors.
