Mark Boulton - Wales

I grew up in the village of Hirwaun, just outside the Brecon Beacons in Wales. As a result, I am rarely far from a rugby ball and have been known to sing the occasional Tom Jones song on karaoke. I hold a B.A. from the University of Wales in Swansea, an M.A. from Southern Mississippi, and a PhD from the University of Tennessee. I write and teach on U.S. History and have just had a book published on veterans’ affairs during the Vietnam era. I use history as a way to explore and teach how we can all create a more rational, tolerant, and humane world. I abhor belief systems that seek to divide, denigrate, or deny basic civil liberties to any group. I currently live in Columbia, Missouri with my wife Cinnamon and two fat cats.
