Mulay Smara - Western Sahara

Mulay Smara was born, raised, and continues to live in a refugee camp located in the harsh desert of southern Algeria, where temperatures range from below zero to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Originally from Western Sahara, in Northwestern Africa, also known as "Africa's last colony," Mulay is pictured wearing a traditional Saharawi nomadic garb known as "daraa."
