Only up until around a few years ago, the idea of receiving a compliment was absurd to me. Confidence is a characteristic that I am only recently getting comfortable with. That is why I now allow myself to dress the way that I do. I’ve always adored these sorts of crazy sweaters and colorful pants, but now I love myself enough to wear them. The physical features that I used to hate about myself haven’t changed a bit, but my attitude towards them has, and it’s made all the difference.
