After graduating from the University of Missouri and teaching high school business courses for 13 years, I started working at Westminster almost 22 years ago. Over the years as Executive Assistant to the Dean of Students, I’ve worked with six deans, many staff and faculty, and thousands of students. During this time, my daughter, son, and daughter-in-law have graduated from Westminster. However, with the many changes in faces and duties, the one thing that hasn’t changed is my passion for working with students; I truly value the lasting relationships that have been developed over the years. For me, Westminster has been a special place with special people that truly have been like family. This has never been more evident to me than during the last couple of years with my granddaughter’s battle with retinoblastoma and my recent battle with cancer. The support offered by the Westminster community has been so uplifting and encouraging and reminded me that this is very a special place that I’ve had the privilege of being a part of for so many years. I’m now ready to move to my next stage in life: retirement and spending more time with my husband and three granddaughters!
