I have so many labels which include being a mother, mentor, wife, worker, student, and athlete. I often find myself trying to have the perfect balance of what is important to me in my life. It is a struggle to try to always stay on top of everything. I have made great efforts to find my way in the workforce and still continue to strive to achieve. I want to be a worker that contributes to a cause larger than myself. I want to mentor young women and men who will one day be amazing leaders. I want to be in a loving partnership. I want to push my body to limits I didn’t know I could before. I want to show my daughter and other young women you don’t just have to want, women can have it all. You can be all of the things you set out to be and it is not easy but you can have everything you wish for. It’s hard work to find your place but when you do, you feel like you can take on the world. I used to be scared of that. Now I know how important it is to show young women that they can achieve all the things that they desire if they work hard. Not only do I want to be a mother, mentor, wife, worker, student, and athlete, I am all of those things.
